Holme Manor Care Home
Our care home is set in splendid grounds in a secluded and private setting. We cater for everyone's needs with regard to a range of conditions which can be associated with older age, we specialise in dementia care and offer a full range of activities. Our activities co-ordinator has won awards, we are pet friendly and friendly in general. We believe in giving the highest quality of care to our residents, some of whom have been with us for many years.
There are 31 rooms, 30 of which are designed for single occupation, we welcome and encourage all our residents to come and spend sometime with us before making any commitments to giving up their own homes, we want our residents to personalise their own space, we want them to be happy and content, to this end all our efforts are made. We are totally flexible in our approach to giving care, we want everyone to be as independent as they can or wish to be.
We maintain very strong links with the community, we have gained funding for iPads which will help us to give our residents access to the very latest technology available so that they can keep in touch with friends and family all over the world.
Our cooks, one of whom has been here since 1992, prepare home cooked meals, using locally sourced ingredients, we will prepare any diet, specially for our customers, our aim is their satisfaction. We offer handicrafts, exersize routines and podiatry services, we are lucky to have regular visits from the local church ministers.
We have three lovely lounge areas to suit all tastes, we have an enlclosed patio outside which is sun trap when we get some sun that is. We try to create a home from home feel for our residents which we feel is the best way to make them comfortable and relaxed which is important to their well being.
At the Manor we believe that it is important to care about our residents in a way that it isn't always possible to do in very large care homes run by national companies for obvious reasons, we are small enough to give personal attention to details which are vital to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society today, we do not believe in a one size fits all style of care.
We have a nurse practitioner appointed to the home, she makes visits most days of the week to check on the health of our residents, where possible everyone is allowed to keep their own general practitioner.
Nothing is too much trouble and all enquiries are welcome anytime of the day or night seven days a week, you can send an e mail or call Ryan on 07814 148328.
When you come to Holme Manor you join our family, we will make every effort to provide you with a fulfilling and dignified life, with every need carefully catered for.
