FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH FEES (from) April 2007
Social Services will pay our fees for residents whose capital resources are less than £21,500, subject to an assessment.
I shall be pleased to arrange this and accompany you at any assessment if you wish.
There are complex rules relating to capital, and in particular ownership of property. I can supply you with various information leaflets produced by "Care Aware", a registered charity who specialises in providing advice and assistance on the legal and financial aspects of entering care. Should you be funded by Social Services, it is important that all involved understand that you have the right to chose the home where you will receive care, provided that:
1/ You have been assessed as needing Residential Home Care.
2/ The home can provide that care at a price agreed by the local authority - which Holme Manor does.
Financial assistance may be available from Social Services towards the cost of our HomeCare Services. Please ask for details here, as the criteria seems to change according to take up and County Council spending.
