What about us
Holme Manor is a luxurious and well established home for ladies and gentlemen. It's doors are open for both long term, and short stay holiday, or respite visits. We are proud to have been awarded Five Stars under the nationally recognised RDB Star Rating System and to be Preferred Providers to Lancashire County Council. We are registered for up to 32 elderly residents and up to 32 elderly residents who also have dementia. We have 32 beds in all, all of which are dual registered.
Situated in the Rossendale Valley with easy access from the M62/M66 motorway network (see map on inside rear cover), Holme Manor provides 24-hour care from qualified, caring staff.
Surrounded by trees and gardens, the building is an historic stone built residence which has been completely refurbished to the highest standards and tastefully decorated. Fire precautionary equipment has been installed throughout the building.
Each bedroom (we have 30 single rooms and 1 companion room) has its own call system, washing facilities (many rooms with en-suite WC), television point (including radio, satellite & video), individual heating thermostat, and a lock on the door. Private telephones are available if required.
Two lifts are available for residents who are unable to climb stairs.
Two 30ft lounges, one ( with a wide-screen TV and Induction Loop) beautifully restored to show the original beamed ceiling, are available for guests to relax in. Indoor leisure facilities include card & quiz games, chess, dominoes, indoor bowls, and "sing a long" evenings around our organ. Our residents committee tell us what outings and activities they wish to take place. A conservatory extends the popular sitting area in our entrance hall.
We have an internet linked PC for residents exclusive use. Training is made available so that full use of E-Mail, video conferencing (with relatives in distant lands) and "surfing the net" is possible.
Holme Manor has two separate dining rooms - fresh local produce is included on the varied menu with choices at every meal. Special diets and requirements can be catered for.
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit guests at any time, and will be kept informed of special events that we organise, by way of newsletters.
A hairdresser/barber, physiotherapist and chiropodist is in regular attendance, and we liaise with the guest's own General Practitioner.
For advice on any aspect of caring, including details of a free trial visit, please call in or telephone us at anytime. Do ask to borrow our video for an insight into "life at the Manor".
