Terms and Conditions

 Where our services are supplied through Social Services, their contract documents shall apply. Where our services are purchased directly from us, these terms and conditions apply.

 We shall supply trained staff for ............ hours per week at                £........... per hour

 Please note that the time taken by our staff in travelling comes out of your allocated visit time.

 Our carers will work to the agreed plan of care, however, reasonable requests “on the day” will be accommodated wherever possible, within the allocated time.

 Service User Guide describes our services, and the principles that we work to. Please read this carefully. We are registered by the Commission For Social Care Inspection whose address appears in our complaints procedure, a copy of which has been supplied to you.

 Our fees are payable weekly by the undersigned, and  one week’s notice is required to vary or cancel our service, by either party, including temporary absence for any reason.  If this does not prove possible for you, then one week’s fees are payable in lieu of notice. This is only because we must, as responsible employers, rota our staff at least one week in advance. We will give at least one weeks notice of any change in our fees.

 This contract is enforceable under English law, which shall apply should there be a breach by either party.

We will supply service within the terms of this contract and our Service User Guide.  You must inform us promptly, of any absence or change in need or circumstances that would effect the delivery of our service, and must pay us promptly for that service.

 We shall make every effort to provide you with continuous service, including for those periods when your regular carer(s) is unavailable due to holiday or sickness.

 We carry Professional Indemnity, Employers Liability and Public Liability insurance with the New India Insurance company, the amounts of said cover being considered satisfactory by Lancashire County Council for their Preferred Providers scheme.

 Our staff will take reasonable care in the execution of their duties. No liability will be accepted by HomeCare Services for the individual Care Staff's dishonesty, negligence or misconduct.  However any such reported incidents will be thoroughly investigated involving  the Police if circumstances require it.

 The Client or a nominated representative is responsible for signing the care staff time sheet verifying hours worked. There is provision on the time sheet for your comments.

 We will review the service with you, and/or your representative at regular intervals, or sooner should you wish it. This could lead to our recommending a change in care plan, which, with your agreement, would be implemented as soon as possible.

 Any supplies or protective clothing required, for example rubber gloves or an apron, are to be supplied by the client.  Please note that in some cases protective gloves should be supplied to you on prescription.

 We have a responsibility towards our staff and clients for their health & safety.  Our clients also have a responsibility in this regard towards both our staff and themselves. We will endeavour through mutual cooperation, to ensure the health & safety of all parties.

 Please see our service user guide for details of our approach to quality assurance. We are assisted in our monitoring by both Lancashire County Council, Social Services Dept, contracts unit, and the Commission For Social Care Inspection, which assistance we gratefully acknowledge. Our staff receive regular supervision in accordance with the CSA national standard.
